After putting myself through college, I returned to my hometown determined to make a difference. I started by organizing community events, volunteering at local schools, and listening to the concerns of my neighbors.
Over the past two decades, I've had the privilege of serving in various capacities—from community organizer to city council member, and eventually to state legislature. Every step of the way, my focus has remained the same: fighting for working families and creating opportunities for all.
